Tater Salad and Tequila
Ron White took over the Showplace Theatre with back-to-back shows as part of his “Nutcracker Tour” on August 1.
His opening act, Robert Hawkins, is a longtime friend of Ron White and former writer for the show “Titus.” Hawkins performed a great set about and got the crowd warmed up and in good spirits.
After the opening act, Ron White took the stage to the sounds of a roaring crowd with his typical companions, a bottle of scotch and a lit cigar. At least we all thought it was scotch—halfway through the 7 p.m. show, White admitted that he is a partner in a tequila distillery and was drinking some Number Juan Tequila. He just likes to keep us guessing.
The funnyman mixed in some new material about recent news stories with his usual banter about the various adventures he’s had on the road and at home. His comedy kept the Showplace Theatre filled with laughter as the crowd responded to his perspective on current events.
All in all, it was a great night of shows and a fun time all around! Check our events calendar and check out one of our upcoming comedy shows!
