At Riverwind, we believe it is important show our support to our community. Luckily, there are many opportunities in Oklahoma for us to take part in. Recently, we took it upon ourselves to create an opportunity to give back to a great cause.
On May 8, we hosted the inaugural Riverwind Casino Charity Golf Classic at the Jimmy Austin Golf Club. Twenty-five teams joined us as we took over the golf course for a good cause – the Children’s Hospital Foundation. This was our first tournament and we weren’t certain how much money we would raise, but we were excited when all signs pointed to raising upwards of $22,000. On the day of the tournament, the golfers and other donors blew us away by giving almost $7,000 – making our final donation nearly $29,000! What a successful day!
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a golf tournament, and everyone enjoyed the day. The Children’s Hospital Foundation will use the donation for pediatric research and education as well as specialized care. Thanks to all who came out and helped make our tournament a success!
