Craps at Riverwind Casino – How to Win

Craps at Riverwind Casino – How to Win

We’ve been counting down the days, and it’s finally here. Craps is hitting the floor at Riverwind Casino, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring this thrilling game to town!

Craps is a classic table game and known as one of the most exciting on every floor. On any given day, you’ll hear the whoops and cheers from the table well before you see it. And while all the excitement might be intimidating, this game is a simple bet on the roll of the dice. With dozens of bet combinations, there are nearly endless ways to win! Check out a few of the most popular bets below.

PASS LINE
The pass line is the simplest bet in Craps. A bet on the pass line is a bet on the shooter to roll a 7 or 11 on their first roll, also known as the come-out roll. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12, your pass line bet loses. If the roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, then that point value is established and your pass line bet stays on the table until that point value is rolled again or the shooter rolls a 7. You win if the shooter rolls the point value; you lose if the shooter rolls a 7, and the table is then reset. This bet pays even money.

ODDS BET
If you’re feeling lucky about the point that’s been established on the shooter’s come-out roll, you have the opportunity to take odds on your pass line bet. Depending on the point established, you can take up to 5X odds on your bet. If the point is a 4 or 10, you can place 3X odds. If it’s a 5 or 9, you can take 4X odds, and if it’s a 6 or 8, you can take 5X odds on your pass line bet. Each time the shooter rolls that number before he or she rolls a 7, you’re a winner! The 4 and 10 pay 2:1 odds, the 5 and 9 pay 3:2 odds and the 6 and 8 pay 6:5 odds.

COME BET
Once you’ve established a point on the pass line, then you are able to make come bets. With a come bet, you are creating your new pass line bet on any roll after the come-out roll. If you place a come bet and the shooter rolls a 5, then your come bet is then placed on the 5. From this point forward, a simple way to look at it is a game of craps within the game of craps. You may also take odds on your come bet. You want to roll this number again before a 7.

PLACE WIN BET
A place win bet may be made after the shooter makes his or her come-out roll. You can make this bet on the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 and win each time that number is rolled before a 7. The 4 and 10 pay out 9:5, the 5 and 9 pay out 7:5 and the 6 and 8 pay out 7:6.

PROPOSITION BETS
These are the bets you see in the middle of the table and are the high risk, high rewards bets. Any 7 wins if a 7 lands on the next roll and the payout is 4:1. Any 11 wins if an 11 lands on the next roll and the payout is 15:1. Any Craps wins if any 2, 3 or 12 lands on the next roll and the payout is 7:1. Ace Deuce wins if a 3 lands on the next roll and the payout is 15:1. Aces wins if a 2 lands on the next roll and the payout is 30:1. Boxcar wins if a 12 lands on the next roll and the payout is 30:1.
