It’s true what they say, time flies when you’re having fun! 2014 was definitely a year full of fun, philanthropy and much, much more here at Riverwind Casino. With the year quickly coming to a close, we couldn’t think of a better way to highlight all of our favorite events than with a year-end recap.
One large portion of this year was our community partnerships. From golf tournaments to local celebrities singing, this year was one for the books!
Some of this year’s events were: Oklahoma Blood Institute Blood Drives, Oklahoma’s Got Talent benefiting the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, The Toby Keith & Friends Celebrity Auction & Dinner benefiting OK Kids Korral, partnerships with the United Way of Norman, Rock the House benefiting Transition House of Norman, The Cavett Kids Foundation and many more.
From January through December, we were jam packed with concerts and events in the Showplace Theatre. Did I mention that there were 26 events to be exact? Some of my favorites from this year were when we hosted Mixed Martial Arts, Joe Nichols, Jim Gaffigan, Collective Soul and our partnership with 93.3 Jake FM for New Face Showcase and Jingle Jam.
Now that we’ve rounded up everything that happened in 2014, it’s time to look onward to 2015. To start off the year, we have the Oklahoma Blood Institute Blood Drive on January 8 followed by Travis LeDoyt on January 10.
As Brad Paisley said, “Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one.” Let’s make 2015 a great year together here at Oklahoma City’s most rewarding casino!
