Beer Season

Beer Season

Live music and craft beer go together like barley and hops. And for the last three years, we’ve found the perfect combination of the two. There’s nothing quite like being treated to a classic Oklahoma sunset with your favorite food truck delicacy and a craft beer in hand, listening to some of the best live music in town.

This year, we’ve partnered with Oklahoma City-based COOP Ale Works to bring you even more music, food and fun at Beats & Bites 2019. But what’s the perfect pairing for the show? Take a look at a few of our favorite combinations that are sure to impress even the foodiest foodie or strictest entertainment critic.

May 11 – Kevin Fowler
“Hell yeah, I like beer.”

Texas country musician Kevin Fowler leaves no room for error when it comes to his libation preferences. Lyrics like “I’ve been baptized in beer,” and “well, it’s beer season in my neck of the woods,” solidify his proclivity for a cold one. Get loose, loud and crazy with Kevin Fowler and a COOP Ale Works Horny Toad Blonde in hand. Featuring a hint of hops flavor, this blonde ale is crisp, clean and ready to get rowdy.

June 8 – Shenandoah
Whether it was hours in the saddle or high in the cab of the tractor, Shenandoah offered the soundtrack to our lives for many years. With five Billboard No. 1 hits including “Sunday in the South” and “Next to You, Next to Me,” the band has reunited once again to bring their unique sound of Muscle Shoals to Riverwind Casino. Just like the smooth and rich sound of their love ballads or the kick of the electric guitar on Cumberland Road, COOP Ale Works Native Amber Red IPA offers smooth caramel and biscuit notes, balanced by classic Cascade and Cluster hops additions.

July 6 – Cody Canada and The Departed
Like a twister ripping through a warm afternoon sky, Cody Canada has sent shockwaves through the Oklahoma music scene for more than 20 years. From humble beginnings playing college town dives, he takes over the Beats & Bites stage with The Departed on July 6. Grab a can of COOP Ale Works F5 IPA, hold it high and pay tribute to Oklahoma traditions with Cody Canada and The Departed.

Aug. 10 – John Michael Montgomery
Powerful love songs and honky-tonk hits. It’s what John Michael Montgomery has been doing so well since 1991. And with an arsenal of refreshingly-honest songs, including the 1993 single “Beer and Bones,” it’s a no-brainer to pair his live music with a COOP Ale Works Fly Me Away IPA. This summer seasonal features a delightfully-hazy color and big, juicy hops flavors. Grab a frosty one and join us for Montgomery on Aug. 10.

COOP is bringing three staple beers to Beats & Bites this summer – F5, Native Amber and Horny Toad. Try out the rest of their lineup by picking some up at your local grocery, convenience or liquor store.

Whether it’s the cold beer, live entertainment or fun for the entire family that brings you out, we can’t wait to see you at COOP Ale Works Beats & Bites this summer! Stay tuned for more updates on your favorite vendors and special guests joining us this year.
