Riverwind Says Thank You!

This month we’re celebrating, with the rest of the nation, the thousands of men and women who have served or are serving in the United States Armed Forces. Here at Riverwind, we’re honored to have 49 active or former military members on our team. These individuals represent more than 300 years of combined experience in the armed forces, and we are thankful to serve alongside them each day.

Roger S. is a maintenance manager here at Riverwind and a 4-year veteran of the United States Navy. Roger, whose father also served in the Navy, said one of the reasons he joined the military was for the opportunity to see the world. However, he had a bigger reason.

“To put it simply, I wanted to do something more and joining the service was the best way to do that,” Roger said.

To say thank you, we’re giving our patrons who are veterans and active duty military even more opportunities to win. On Sunday, Nov. 11 from noon – 4 PM, we’re giving away up to $7,000 in Bonus Play in our Salutes to Service Giveaway! Just be one of the first 300 patrons to present an active military or veteran ID to receive a free gift and be eligible for our Bonus Play drawings.

Another way we’re celebrating veterans is with our Blackjack Veteran Bonus Hands promotion. Between 8 a.m. and midnight on Sunday, Nov. 11, all patrons with an active military or veteran ID are eligible for the “Blackjack Bonus Hands” valued at up to $75! That means if you’re playing a live, rated hand that lands on a suited blackjack, suited ace and jack or suited ace and king, you could be a winner!

As we continue to say thank you throughout the month, we think Valet Supervisor and 12-year Air Force veteran Steve Poteet puts it best, “I would just say that it was a true honor to be able to serve alongside the upstanding men and women of the United States Military. The next time you see an active duty member or veteran, just say ‘thank you.’”
