Mix It Up With Criss Cross Poker

No, this isn’t an Atlanta-based 90s hip hop duo; it’s Riverwind’s newest table game – Criss Cross Poker! With this new variation of Mississippi Stud, you can multiply your chances to win with various betting options on each hand. When you walk up to the table, don’t be overwhelmed by everything happening. Here’s a quick rundown of how you can play and enjoy Criss Cross Poker!

Just like any classic poker game, Criss Cross Poker is played with a standard 52-card deck. Each player will place an ante of equal value. These antes are required to play both the “across hand” and the “down hand.” Once antes are made, the dealer deals five community cards face down in a cross formation in the middle of the table. Each player is then dealt two cards.

Once all cards have been dealt, each player will have the option to make an “across bet.” After each player has either bet or folded, the dealer will turn over the two outside “across” community cards.

The process is then repeated, with each player still in the game either offering a “down bet” or folding. Once the bets have been made, the dealer will turn over the two outside “down” cards.

The third round of bets happens before the final card in the middle of the cross is turned over.

Once these bets have been made, the dealer will reveal the player’s starting from the dealer’s right, using their two dealt cards to form both an “across hand” and a “down hand.” This is where the fun happens. In Criss Cross Poker, all you need is a pair of 6s to push and each of your hands can pay out up to 500 to 1!

Also, if you place a bet on the 5-Card Bonus at the start of the game, you have a chance to make a hand with the community cards on the table. That way if you folded during the action, you still have a chance to win! This bonus can pay up to 250 to 1.

One final way to multiply your winnings is with the Stax Progressive, which can net you 100% of the STAX payouts.
