Get to Know Our Casino Hosts: Teresa B.

When we get a new team member, we always enjoy introducing them to you. We recently sat down with our newest casino host, Teresa B., to get to know her a little bit better!

Thanks for sitting down with us today, Teresa! Would you start off by describing your role as a host here at Riverwind?
I’m the newest member of the Casino Host team. That being said, I’m in the process of learning all I can do to assist the patrons who come through our doors. We’re able to help our guests with things like concert tickets, hotel stays and dining accommodations. We also work with the Promotions team as needed on staying up to date with the most current games, ways to win and VIP events.

Welcome to the team! How did you get into this role? Was it something you always wanted to do or was it something that found you?
It found me! I was enjoying my job as an event planner when the chance to become a casino host came along. I decided to go for it and was SO fortunate to be given the opportunity to put my experience and skills to use for Riverwind as a host.

It sounds like you’re enjoying the challenge! So, what does a typical day in the life of a host look like?
I spend a lot of time on the casino floor greeting guests and inquiring if there is anything I can do to enhance their visit. We meet folks who are staying at the hotel to ensure their room is wonderful and that they know we are available should they need anything during their stay.

Since you’ve been here, what has been your favorite thing about Riverwind?
The people I get to work with are so awesome! It takes all of us in every position here to create a top-notch place for people to come play and stay, and I love that the employees take pride in that. Everyone works together, is friendly and does all that they can for Riverwind.

What’s been your favorite show that you’ve seen at the Showplace Theatre?

Finally, tell us a few fun facts about yourself!
Spending time with my family is most important. I love to cook – trying out new recipes with different ingredients from diverse cuisines is a great way to relax. I also enjoy helping my husband on the buffalo ranch he manages!
