Get to Know Our Team Members: Marcy T.

Our fabulous team works hard every day to bring you the best gaming and entertainment experience in Oklahoma City. One of those team members is Marcy T., who has been at Riverwind since we opened our doors in 2006! Recently, we sat down with Marcy to get to know her a little bit more.

Hi Marcy! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. First off, can you tell us a little bit about what you do here at Riverwind?
My role here at Riverwind is to bring all aspects of the marketing team together. Marketing encompasses many departments and it’s my job to make sure we’re all working together as one cohesive team.

How did you get into marketing? Is it something you always wanted to do, or did it find you?
I’ve always been interested in marketing and a position came open, so I applied for it and the rest is history. So, I guess you could say it found me!

What does a day in the life of Marcy look like?
I like to start my days early, so I’m usually in the office around 7 a.m. I’ll check my emails and catch up on anything I have left over from the day before. There are almost always meetings dashed in throughout the day as well. I also find it very important to visit my team. I’ll swing by their office and see how things are going. After that, I make my way to the casino floor and visit with patrons and employees. My job keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Sounds like you keep pretty busy. What’s your favorite thing about Riverwind?
My favorite thing about Riverwind are our team members. We have so many awesome employees. I’ve been at Riverwind for more than 12 years, and there are still many “Day One” employees who are close friends of mine. I believe that Riverwind would not be what it is today without them, and it takes all of us to make Riverwind a fun and exciting destination!

Another great aspect of Riverwind is the entertainment at the Showplace Theatre. Is there anyone you’re excited to see?
Oh yes, Third Eye Blind! I grew up listening to them so I was so excited when we were able to book them.

Finally, tell us a few fun facts about yourself!
I’m a big sports fan and cheer on OU, the Dallas Cowboys and the Oklahoma City Thunder. I love gardening, fantasy football and spending time with my husband and cocker spaniel!
